Singapore, Singapore, 8th Aug 2023 – Veblen Directors Program (VDP), which trains and connects executives with public and private companies, has announced a year-long partnership with STEMreps, a US company that trains and certifies sales engineers for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) products and solutions, mainly in biotech and healthcare applications.
Under the terms of the partnership, VDP will advise and resource STEMreps, and, in the words of the American company’s founder, “hold STEMreps accountable to serving its markets with excellence”.
DRIVEN Systems, STEMreps’ parent company, is the brainchild of Cal Burlock, a technology executive and educator with years of expertise in medical diagnostics, cancer, genomics, proteomics, K-12/Adult education, logistics and IT/telecoms.
Commenting on the tie-up, Cal Burlock said: “Veblen Directors Program has been a godsend for us … to meet and interface with accomplished leaders, professionals and business development superstars from across the globe could never happen as easily as it has through VDP. We look forward to sharing so many successes throughout the next year, as our ‘dream team’ advisory board makes its impact.”
VDP members who will be serving as advisory board members at STEMreps, include Michael Ehlert, a financial services veteran with experience in wealth management, real asset investments, mutual funds and corporate finance; accomplished business leader and CFO Ronawati Wongso; and nonprofit founder Mirenda Canady.
Academy Director of engineering and computer science, Diane Johnson is the fourth VDP member to take up a board advisory position at STEMreps. An experienced IT professional before going into education, Diane has provided cutting-edge STEM education for thousands of students as an instructional leader, researcher and STEM educational advocate.
Diana said, “Under Cal’s leadership the company offers unique opportunities to effect change in the STEM industry while also providing relevant information to empower and inform.”
Finally, biologic drug development expert, Susan Prohaska, whose Stanford University PhD is in immunology and stem cell biology, said, “I am delighted to be joining the Advisory Board for STEMreps. Cal Burlock’s broad experience in STEM fields, history and education has led to a unique vision to create opportunities and bring valuable products to where they are critically needed.”
