Real estate is not for the faint of heart. It moves fast, requires on-the-fly problem solving, calls for staying calm under pressure, and competition is fierce. Yet some people are born to excel in this exciting field, and Joseph “Joe” Cosentino is one of them.
After attending the Iona College of Business, Cosentino focused on continuing his education to be one of the best in the industry. Courses from the Real Estate Institute, Harris Real Estate University, the Tom Ferry Elite Coaching Team, and Cardone University have kept Cosentino at the top of his game.
Today, Cosentino is a real estate broker and proud business owner licensed in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. He has stepped up to a real estate advisor and a home inspection expert. Cosentino is creating an impressive name for himself as he has been listed as a Princeton Premier Business Leader, was a Diamond Member of the Bronx-Manhattan Board of Realtors from 2017-2020, and has won multi-million-dollar sales club awards.
Like many other entrepreneurial ventures, Cosentino’s foray into this field was unintentional. After selling his gasoline station, the real estate market started to pick up considerably. A developer client asked Cosentino to work with him on a new project: selling waterfront condos in the Country Club section of the Bronx. At this point, the market had increased exponentially, and Cosentino happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Yet with the good comes the bad. When the United States felt the crush of the Great Recession in 2007-2008, the effects on real estate were nothing short of devastating. Like many others, Cosentino had to reinvent his business to stay afloat. By pivoting away from new construction to focus on rentals and new home sales, he was able to weather the shaky economic conditions.
As we witness the biggest real estate boom unfold in decades, Cosentino’s business is scaling up faster than he ever imagined. He is currently working with sellers looking to get top dollar for their highly desirable homes in the Bronx, Westchester, Connecticut, and Florida. He is spending as much with home buyers as he helps them navigate this challenging yet rewarding feat.
Being able to sell real estate in some of the country’s hottest markets has made Cosentino somewhat of a triple threat. His primary goal at the moment is to grow his business in Florida, as the state is filled with high-end listings that present enormous opportunities to the right agent. Cosentino is the perfect real estate figure to take on this crown jewel with his experience and expertise. And with time, who knows, he might even end up claiming one of these luxury properties as his address.
