Falkirk, Scotland – Gavin Duncan, a professional photographer based in Falkirk, has made it to the final round of the Guild of Photographers Image of the Year Competition. This prestigious competition receives around 12,000 entries annually from some of the most talented photographers in the world, making it one of the most fiercely contested photography competitions.

The Guild of Photographers is a highly respected UK-based association for photographers that also has members from overseas. Every year, the association runs an online monthly photographic competition, with awards for the best entries judged by internationally respected judges.

From the thousands of entries received in 2022, the judges have selected just 10 images across various genres to go forward to the annual Image of the Year Final. One of those selected is an image by Gavin Duncan.
