About Terrell Singleton, MD

Throughout her career as a vascular surgeon, Dr. Terrell Singleton has helped patients overcome the pain associated with vein disease by diagnosing and treating vein issues such as varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Highly trained in outpatient vein procedures, she utilizes the most leading-edge technology to provide relief from leg swelling, skin discoloration, leg cramping, achy legs, and more. The minimally invasive techniques mastered by Dr. Singleton include ablation and options for sclerotherapy. These procedures relieve pain and enable patients to quickly return to normal activities.

In college, Dr. Singleton began as an English major with the intention of becoming a magazine editor. That all changed when she started taking science classes and began to envision herself as a doctor. She drew upon her memory as a young girl needing eye surgery. “That experience gave me a lot of empathy and helped me realize what medicine can do for people so they can move forward with their life,” she says. Now, having performed over 5,000 procedures as a vascular surgeon, she has helped countless vascular and vein clinic patients move on from the pain and limitations of vein disease.

Dr. Singleton attended the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston. She stayed in Galveston for a five-year residency in general surgery. A two-year vascular surgical fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston followed. Before joining Hamilton Vascular, Dr. Singleton spent the beginning of her career at Vein Clinics of America, serving as regional medical director for the last year and a half of her tenure.

Dr. Singleton passionately believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients to promote the best possible outcomes. She encourages open conversations to discuss questions, concerns, and issues. She understands that procedures can be scary for patients, so it is vital that they trust and feel comfortable with her. “Treat people the way you want to be treated. That is what I try to live by, especially as a physician,” she says. With Dr. Singleton’s patient-centered philosophy she uses her network of lower extremity providers to offer complete leg care for her patients at the vascular and vein clinics.

Dr. Singleton is married to an anesthesiologist at MD Anderson in Houston. Together with their son, they enjoy skiing and hiking in her husband’s home state of Colorado. They also enjoy staying active with their labradoodle while experiencing the people, cultures, and fun activities in Houston.

Dr. Singleton accepts new patients and welcomes them to see her at the Clear Lake vascular and vein clinic of Hamilton Vascular.
